Superintendent, Pastor Jeffery L. Ball
Pastor Jeffery L. Ball was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Pastor Ball attended Marie Curie High School. After graduation he married his wife Debbie Ball. After obtaining his Commercial Driver’s License, Pastor Ball started his driving career first with Gamma Photo Lab for six (6) years, and then he went to work for Pace Bus Company where he worked for over 10 years. During his tenure at Pace, he was a voted Trustee for Amalgamate 1028 Union. He was President/Owner of Mr. Man’s Style Shop.
Pastor Jeffery L. Ball a great man of God started in ministry as an Ordained Elder in August 1995. He also served as Assistant Pastor and Church Administrator under the leadership of his father, Assistant Superintendent Pastor Jeff C. Ball. Whatever vision the founder, Pastor Jeff C. Ball would unfold, Pastor Jeffery Ball would work whole-heartedly toward that vision. He is a man of great faith and a servant of servants. In 1996, Pastor Jeffery Ball was appointed Chief Adjutant of the 6th Jurisdiction of Illinois under the leadership of the Bishop William Haven Bonner, in that same year he became a National Adjutant in the Church of God in Christ.
Pastor Jeffery L. Ball served as Chairman of the St. H.W. Goldsberry District for a number of years until he was elevated to the Assistant Superintendent of the St. H. W. Goldsberry District. In May, 2016, he was appointed to Superintendent of St. H.W. Goldsberry District. Currently, Pastor Jeffery Ball serves as the Chief Adjutant to Bishop Clowdell Williams Sr. of the 6th Jurisdiction of Illinois and Superintendent of St. H.W. Goldsberry District and now has been elevated to the Executive Board of the 6th Jurisdiction of Illinois.
Pastor Jeffery L. Ball is truly a Shepherd who believes in finding the “1” sheep straying. Pastor Ball will strengthen each person’s confidence and joy in Jesus Christ – at every point in their life, and encourage personal and spiritual growth through prayer, and active service at New Joy City Church of God in Christ. First Lady, Debbie Ball
Debbie Ball has been a member of New Joy City COGIC (formerly known as Full Gospel Outreach Mission) since 1974. She attended the services with her mother and participated in various events. On the local level, she has held the following positions, Nurses Board President, choir member, corresponding secretary, financial secretary, Trustee and now President of the women’s department.
On the district level, in 2003, she became District Missionary of the St. H.W. Goldsberry District,
where Dr. Milton Oliver was District Superintendent and Mother Angie D. Cullins, State Supervisor and Bishop William Haven Bonner served as Prelate of 6th Jurisdiction of Illinois. She assisted Superintendent Oliver with their annual District meeting by coordinating the Annual Women’s day service, and assisting with fundraising events to name a few.
She is currently the President of the St. H.W. Goldsberry District Pastor’s Wives Circle and a
participant of the Pastor’s and Elders Wives department of the 6th Jurisdiction of Illinois where Dr.
Angie D. Cullins serves as Supervisor of Women and Bishop Clowdell Williams Sr, Jurisdictional Prelate.
Her career path started out at a major manufacturing company where she was promoted from mail clerk to Junior Secretary. Several years past, and she moved on to one of Chicago’s top Public Relations agencies where she held positions as secretary, Office Services Manager and Office Services Coordinator. She is currently employed at a social service agency as Coordinator of Finance.
First Lady Debbie Ball possesses the gift of helps and has a passion to help abused women. In September, 2008, she formed a New Joy City women’s fellowship group “Sistah to Sistah”. The women come together to discuss different topics, schedule events, outreach, health tips, coordinate fundraising events, etc.
Her desire is to empower women to live a spirit filled life as well as have a spirit of “excellence” in building the kingdom of God .
